Post 2: Why did I choose my major
Well, as a child I always wanted to be a lot of things as a hair dress, veterinary, plastic surgeon and a ballet teacher. At the age of 4, my grandmother enrolled me in a ballet academy and that’s when I really got into the world of dance. From that time until today I dance.
When I was at school I spent most of my time on art or sport, went to painting courses, I was in a music group an I tried different stuff sports. I didn’t really enjoy studying, but the school was more demanding and I was beginning to have a less time (it was a very traditional school and nothing artistic). So I had choose what I wanted to do in my free time, I decided to dance.
I never knew until almost two years before I left the school that dance could be studied as a career here in Chile, all the time I had in mind that I would go to study outside the country and then knowing that was the career in Chile I clearly focus on that.
One of my frustrated dreams has always been to study kinesiology or nutrition, it’s something that interest me a lot and don’t totally rule it out of my life, because it’s a good complement to dance and movement.
My experience in the University has been beautiful, I have changed a lot as a person and an artist, I see things very different from how I saw before, I have met wonderful people and teachers who have shaped the person who I’m now.
